The phenomenon of premature aging skin is related mainly to exposure to sun (UV), which damages collagen and elastin, the structural components of the skin. Many people expose themselves to a great deal of solar radiation as part of their daily routine. The radiation, together with the diminishing ozone layer and other environmental factors, lead to the premature appearance of signs of aging even at a relatively young age. L.RAPHAEL’s Photorejuvenation treatment has been developed to help the skin repair itself from sun damage, delivering clearer, smoother, firmer and younger-looking skin.

What is the Photorejuvenation treatment?

The treatment uses intense pulse light energy in two wavelengths each providing a significant benefit:

- The reduction in the appearance of age and sunspots and other light skin blemishes is achieved using short wavelength rays. The rays work primarily on the skin surface to disperse existing concentrations of melanin, and fade age and sun spots. The extent of spot reduction depends on many factors including the size and depth of the spot, the amount of melanin concentration and the color of the skin treated.

- The reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and the increase in skin firmness and elasticity are achieved using longer wavelength rays. They penetrate deeper into the epidermis. The heat they generate stimulates the activity of fibroblast cells, which enhance the production of collagen and elastin, making skin firmer and more supple.

The road to a beautiful you!

The revolutionary Photorejuvenation treatment is ideal for repairing sun damaged skin. The treatment's results are rejuvenated skin which looks clearer and firmer, with fewer wrinkles and age spots. The skin is more even toned and has a fresher and younger appearance.

The treatment is also useful in treating skin conditions like couperose (skin redness caused by small blood vessel visible on the skin) and acne. The results of the treatment are gradual and the number of treatments cannot be determined in advance. The results are only evident after a number of treatments.
